I myself personally eat mainly white rice and like it quite a bit better than brown.
Is brown rice really THAT much better?
Here’s a video which compares white rice to brown rice.
Here are some of the key points made in the video:
1. Brown rice is low in Glycemic Index & white rice is high in GI.
2. Brown rice is higher in fiber & protein compared to white rice.
3. Brown rice takes much longer to digest compared to white rice.
4. Brown rice is more nutrient-dense than white rice.
It looks as if brown rice wins by a mile, but brown rice does have some downsides.
It causes digestive issues for a lot of people since your body has to work harder to break down the fiber.
The biggest downside is that brown rice has higher levels of arsenic compared to white rice.
To me, this is enough to stick to white rice (or combine brown and white).
As far as weight loss goes, they are probably equally as effective.
