44-Year Old Nurse Transforms Her Body With 1 Single Kettlebell

My friend April Harkness is a 44-year-old nurse in Chicago who has a 15-year-old son at home.

As a nurse, the first half of 2020 completely turned her world upside down… the overwhelm and intense stress caused her to gain 30 pounds in about 6 months.

She has kept in shape most of her adult life but…

The combo of stress eating and lack of exercise caused her to gain weight rapidly.

This picture was taken in August of 2020.

Here’s a journal entry she recently shared with me, written on the same day she took this picture…

“I used to look forward to strength training day. Not so anymore, but I am doing it. When I was in a smaller, in shape body it was so motivating to train. In the body I am in now? I HATE IT. I HATE training. Do people look at me? Do they laugh? It’s hard. I do see improvement. but it doesn’t seem so quick. I feel embarrassed to work out now.”

I think this was especially tough for April mentally, because most of her adult life she has been slim.

But things change once you reach 35+ years old…

You don’t have youthful hormones to keep you lean.

Shortly after snapping these pictures, she picked up our home workout course, Visual Impact Kettlebells.

I was blown away by the speed of her transformation.

In only 3 months, her results were already fantastic.

She shared her progress in our private Facebook group.

We have all been motivated by her journey…

Her time at home was extremely limited.

April’s schedule was so busy she did all of her kettlebell workouts during lunch break at the Hospital.

She’s able to do this since our workouts only take 20-30 minutes.

At the age of 44, April absolutely achieved this goal.

She is a true inspiration not only because she hit this goal… she did this under extremely stressful circumstances.

P.S.

I am also currently doing this program.

It requires just one single kettlebell and very little space.

I do it in my small garage in the afternoons.

I think April does her workout in the back corner of a small office in the hospital at lunch.

All the videos were filmed this summer on the beach in Costa Rica where he lives.
