5-Minute Workout That Replaces HIIT

HIIT cardio is a great way to boost calorie burn to lose fat, but it isn’t always practical.

If you are incredibly busy, you may not be able to drive down to a gym to do a full-blown workout.

Here’s an efficient 5-minute workout that you can easily do at home.

The workout is simple.

I’ll outline it here, but make sure and watch the video for pointers.

1. FULL PLANK for 60 Seconds: Done from hands like the top of a pushup position.

2. ELBOW PLANK for 30 Seconds: Same position except you are resting on your elbows.

3. RAISED-LEG PLANK for 30 Seconds Each Side: Stay in elbow plank and raise one leg for 30 seconds, then follow with the other.

4. LEFT-SIDE PLANK for 30 Seconds: Rest on left arm and elbow.

5. RIGHT-SIDE PLANK for 30 Seconds: Rest on right arm and elbow.

6. FULL PLANK again but for only 30 seconds.

7. ELBOW PLANK again for 60 seconds.

Here’s what I like about this workout.

It isn’t crazy intense and won’t break the muscle down so you can do daily.

These daily core contractions will build firm flat abs over a period of time.

[Tip] Those who are advanced can use this 5-minute ab routine as a workout finisher to use after their resistance training routines.

This also could serve as a warmup to use before a normal workout.
