Here’s a simple exercise that will help create that clean line down the middle of your pecs.
It’s called the Sandwich Press.

You basically squeeze the dumbbells together in a position similar to ending a dumbbell flyes.
Then press with these dumbbells squeezed together tightly.
Here’s a demo with a guy who is squeezing an Olympic plate together.
Probably no need to add the plate.
My gym doesn’t have rubber bumper plates. I think I’d break a rib if the metal plate came sliding out at the top of this movement.
What does this lift do?
It creates a strong contraction in the inner part of the pecs (good for building a line down the middle).
More importantly…
…it teaches you to keep your elbows tucked when pressing.
Keeping your elbows tucked makes bench pressing safer on your shoulders.

No need to do a ton of these, just 1-2 sets as a pec finisher will get the job done.
