We live in an interesting time.

Everything is moving faster, especially when it comes to technology.

Takes phones for instance.

My family had this exact same beige phone throughout the 70’s and until the late 80’s.

I think my grandparents had the same one, but was a pea green color.

Now a lot of people get new versions of phones every year.

Everything now is on-demand & immediate access. I believe this has created an impatient society.

Fat loss is something you still have to work for.

My 70’s and 80’s brain appreciates this.

Even if you have money, you have to have discipline.

For most people, losing belly fat takes 2-3 times longer than expected…. especially if you are middle-aged or beyond.

A lot of my close friends are in their mid-to-late 40’s.

Back in college…

We could lose fat and get ready for summer by simply adding in a bit of cardio and cutting calories for 3-6 months before summer.

If you are in your mid 30’s and beyond?

You almost have to think in terms of 1-2 years to reach your ideal physique.

This fat loss thing can take a while.

The good news is that NOW 1-2 years feels like it goes by in 3-6 months.

(Time flies as you get older!)

If you are in your 20’s, you should expect to get lean in 3-6 months… and 1-2 years if you are 35+.

It will happen quickly for you if you are young.

This article is mainly for people in their mid 30’s and beyond who FEEL like they are failing when it comes to weight loss.

So many of the fitness courses and books are written for and by people in their 20’s.

I’m talking to the 35+ years old’s here.

I know it can be irritating taking fat loss advice from a 22-year-old “woke” girl doing yoga poses on vacation.
