I do the HIIT then hit the treadmill.
About 5 minutes into walking the lazy thoughts begin.
“I probably don’t need to do this for 20 minutes.”
“Most of the calorie burn has already happened.”
“I don’t want to overtrain.”
“I should just head home to relax.”
It’s easy to get drawn into the idea of brief workouts.
Short and intense workouts often win out over putting in a bit more time.

My message has always been that most of us need to exercise MORE not LESS.
And…
I’m convinced that it is the little actions that make the difference.
Next time you hear that lazy self-talk, ignore it.
If you don’t have a super busy schedule, consider even adding 15 minutes to your workouts.
This extra time spent burning calories adds up to significant weight loss over the long-term.
