The list of effective supplements I’d recommend for suppressing your appetite is short.

(Here are links to part 1 and part 2 of this article).

I’ve personally tried quite a few and have been disappointed by most.

The best selling and most widely known is Garcinia Cambogia.

I have tried a few different brands over the years and this supplement didn’t have a great affect on my appetite.

It never really tamed my hunger.

Speaking of hunger…The Hunger (1983) is one of the most “artsy” horror movies ever made. As a huge Bauhaus fan, this might be my favorite opening scene of all time.

Creepy in a cool way.

If you use Garcinia C, I suggest taking it 30 minutes before meals.

It supposedly works best if you get the timing right.

Recently, I tried a newer product called Caralluma Fimbriata.

My guess is that this will be the next weight loss supplement that takes off like Garcinia Cambogia.

I only tried 2 different brands that I ordered off of Amazon, but I found it had zero effect on reducing my appetite.

In my opinion, these pills are questionable at best.

Here are appetite suppressants that work well.

  • Fiber Supplements (or just eat an apple).
  • Caffeine Pills (or just drink coffee).
  • Capsaicin Tablets (or just hot sauce to your meals).
  • Apple Cider Vinegar Tablets (or just a straight shot of the stuff).
  • Cocoa <—I haven’t discussed this one yet.

Cocoa powder is a potent appetite suppressant.

Have you ever heard of “cocoa fasting”?

The idea is to use pure powdered cocoa mixed with hot water as a replacement for coffee.

This suppresses the appetite so you can use as a way to skip lunch, or be satisfied with a much smaller lunch than normal.

Cocoa is loaded with antioxidants and has many health benefits.

I started supplementing with cocoa powder about 3 weeks ago.

Instead of using the stuff from the grocery store, I found a custom formula put together by Dr. Jade Teta: Craving Cocoa.

This is organic cocoa powder mixed with BCAA’s, soluable fiber and sweetened with Stevia.

Each serving is just 30 calories.

It works really well…I’m a fan.

Feels like time for another video.

Since the graphic at the top of this page has a guy wearing a horse head mask…

…I present to you Band of Horses.

One of the many awesome bands that got their start in my fine city of Seattle (cloudy weather must be great for bringing out creativity).

Mix and match these foods and supplements while dieting.

I was going to suggest food and supplement combos…

…but seriously, this doesn’t need to be complex.

  • Start your day by drinking a cup of black coffee on an empty stomach.
  • Snack on a honeycrisp apple 1-2 hours later.
  • Eat a light lunch or take Craving Cocoa (if you are using intermittent fasting for weight loss).
  • Take a 1/2 shot of apple cider vinegar right before dinner.
  • Make that dinner spicy by adding cayenne pepper or various types of hot sauce.
  • Experiment with caffeine pills, capsaicin tablets, fiber supplements, BCAA’s, or garcinia cambogia.

Note: A really simple approach to losing weight is to limit yourself to two meals per day…a light lunch and a bigger dinner. Here’s a course which shows you how to dial this method in for rapid fat loss.

Figure out how to tame your appetite & weight loss becomes easy.

Losing body fat all comes down to figuring out ways to eat less.

Exercise can burn calories…

…but the food intake side of the equation is the most important thing to master.

My hope is that these tips help.

Cheers,

Rusty Moore  Fabio
