In the past couple of years, there has been a buildup of a specific type of training.

The type of training is cardio, but not just any old cardio.
Cardio machine training.
One of the big players in this market is Peloton.
The Peloton holiday 2019 commercial caused some controversy,
Ryan Reynolds hired the Peloton actress for a funny Aviator Gin commercial.
The Peloton bike costs $2,245 and then comes with a $58 monthly subscription to access live instructors.
This company is on track to have 250,000 monthly subscribers.
It has also been valued at over 1 Billion dollars.
They also recently announced plans to do the EXACT same type of things with treadmills… this company is going to become massive.
Speaking of treadmills…
Equinox gym has a class called “Precision Running”.
It’s a group class that mixes HIIT and slower cardio on a treadmill (gosh, this workout sounds like what I’ve been teaching for years).
Britney Spears used this class at Equinox to get in shape for her 2018 World Tour.
She is 36 and really got her physique dialed in.
She looks better than ever.
Here’s another interesting celebrity cardio machine thing happening.
Skrillex is partnering with a Japanese exercise bike company Feelcycle, like Peloton with dubstep.
I’m not sure if he is focusing on the Japanese market only.
I’m also starting to see group rowing studios pop up.
I haven’t done a ton of rowing.
I probably should use the rowing machine more, but just worry it will aggravate an old back injury.
Another company I’m beginning to see everywhere is Orange Theory Fitness.

They have a unique concept.
Your heart rate is displayed on a monitor along with everyone else while you do a mix of treadmill running alternated with rowing and other exercises.
People I know who do this workout, really love it.
There are 6 locations within a 5 mile radius of where I live.
I actually may sign up for one class a week and do on Wednesdays, just for a change of pace.
Then train at my current gym Mon, Tue, Thurs, and Friday.
I like daily cardio along with lifting 4-5 times per week, so this could be a good mid-week thing.

One reason I think Orange Theory would be funny, would be to scare the instructors.
My max heart rate goes WAY higher than it is supposed to.
The quick way to estimate it?
220 – Age = Estimated Max Heart Rate
So for me, it would be 220 – 50 = 170.
I’m supposed to only hit a max of 85% of 170, which is about 145, but I hit 180 on a regular basis.
Anyway…
Cardio machines have been bashed pretty hard for the past 10-15 years.

I never stopped using them, even when supposedly it wasn’t cool.
I’m glad they are making a strong comeback.
Cardio isn’t going to “make you lose your curves” or “kill your gains”.
If you don’t want to lose muscle while burning fat with cardio?
Simply do a bit of resistance training 3-4 times per week and give your body a reason to hold onto that muscle.

If you want to master cardio machines for fat loss, I believe my course will give you the most variety of options.
My course will also explain in better detail how ALL of these popular programs work.
You will know more about how to effectively use cardio machines for fat loss than 99% of fitness instructors.
One last thing…
I GREATLY admire both the Peloton company and Orange Theory Fitness.
I hope they become huge and help a ton of people.

The group and social concepts are brilliant.
