It compared exercise to medicine when it came to losing visceral fat.
“When we analyzed all the trial data together, we found that exercise interventions were associated with a greater relative reduction in visceral fat compared with pharmacological interventions”.
Visceral fat is especially harmful fat that surrounds your internal organs.
If you want to keep your organs as clear as possible from excess fat, EXERCISE is crucial.
There has been a big trend the past 10 years or so…
The idea of exercising to gain and maintain muscle and dieting to lose body fat.
I think this is dangerous advice.
I don’t want to sound like a broken record.
- I really believe we need more exercise NOT less.
- I highly recommend following a diet that works for you, lifting for muscle, and adding in additional cardio exercise for optimal health.
Exercise that gets your heart rate up over a decent period of time is what will melt visceral fat.

Some people can look decent on diet alone.
But…
Only using diet to get lean isn’t a solid strategy for long-term health.
