Does FASTED Cardio Burn More Fat? (What The Science Says)

I have typically done cardio in a fasted state because I feel it gets me lose fat at a faster rate than if I eat before my workouts.

Recent research suggests that both fasted and fed cardio can work equally as well.

One of the big takeaways is that if daily calorie intake is the same, it doesn’t matter if you do cardio fasted or after a meal.

Here’s why I still lean towards fasted cardio.

If you time your workouts properly, they can act as an appetite suppressant.
